The Engineering Operations (EngOps) team is responsible for ensuring the Technology org is operating as effectively as possible. In this role, you’ll report directly to the Sr. Director of Engineering Operations and partner on a variety of non-technical programs across Tech. As a part of the EngOps team, you’ll help shape the development and culture of our growing Technology organization. You’ll define the vision and strategy for both building a high-performing team and developing impactful programs. This includes scaling existing business cadences, launching initiatives like Engineering Bootcamp, and creating ongoing technical training and mentoring programs to support team growth and development. You’ll balance operational excellence with strategic innovation to ensure the team delivers meaningful, scalable results.
You’ll work closely with people across the Tech org to manage organizational programs, including scoping solutions, building buy-in, setting a timeline with milestones and keeping stakeholders up to date on progress. You’re passionate about people and the way they grow and learn. You love taking a big opportunity, breaking it down into manageable pieces, building a plan and driving progress. Scrappy and hands-on with a “no job too big, or too small” approach, you’re able to juggle bigger projects alongside smaller day to day tasks seamlessly. You have experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you leverage your ability to solve ambiguous problems, drive clarity and get things done.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we're looking for:- 8 - 10 years of program/project management experience and 3+ years management experience
- Proven track record of building and scaling teams, including defining their mission, recruiting top talent, and providing effective leadership and ongoing management.
- Demonstrated experience forming strong relationships and working cross-functionally in a remote-first or remote-only environment covering multiple countries and time zones
- Experience working with Sr. Leaders to drive decision-making and accountability to deadlines
- Solution-oriented, loves taking on challenges, can work successfully against shifting priorities and thrives in ambiguity
- Exceptional communication skills; you’re able to draft comms, build decks and communicate clearly across many stakeholder groups

- Organized and detail-oriented, to help support our fast moving team.
- Experience managing programs throughout the program lifecycle (ideation, proposal, timeline & milestone build, launch, execution and maintenance)
- Experience building workflows to help teams operate more effectively
What you can expect:- Weekly check-ins to make sure all projects and priorities are aligned, and to problem solve roadblocks
- Flag and solution blockers that affect program’s progress and work with appropriate stakeholders to mitigate any issues.
- Produce scalable and repeatable timelines and templates for efficiency; refining templates already in place, and creating new ones when necessary.
- Refine high-level requirements from stakeholders and translate those into detailed, prioritized, actionable tasks. Define project plans, coordinate resources, manage rollout and ongoing support (or finding an end owner and transitioning to them seamlessly).
- Examples of programs this role will be responsible for:
- Work with cross functional partners in People Programs to build ongoing technical skill development programs and engineering management training to complement existing programs.
- Sit on 1Password’s Internal Learning and Development Advisory Board
