What we're looking for
We are looking for a hard-working, commercially-minded generalist to join us. You may be new to sales or B2B SaaS, but you’ll be hungry to learn by doing and have a massively accelerated career trajectory.
You’ll be joining us at an incredibly exciting time, just as things are starting to take off! We're a Series A company having raised $25m from Accel, Point Nine, First Round, and 50+ renowned founders and industry experts. We’ve built an incredible & passionate team — every member was a top performer at their previous business - and our CEO, CCO & CFO went on a similar journey with Tessian, going from $0-30m ARR / $8-$500m valuation, and from pre-seed to Series C (Sequoia, Accel, etc.).
We've spent the past 18 months building & deploying our platform to many of the greatest tech companies out there (Lookout, McAfee, Onfido, Typeform, Proofpoint, etc.), all whilst managing to stay lean & operate efficiently.
Omnea operates as a meritocracy and the right person will progress rapidly. Within 12-24 months you’ll move into a managerial role or a more senior customer-facing role, whether that’s sales, customer success, or solutions consulting.
Please note: you may need to spend 12 or more weeks in the first 5 months onboarding with us in London, in the United Kingdom. We will arrange accommodation during this time. Additionally, in the first instance this role will be quota-carrying, with broader commercial responsibilities over time.
What Can You Expect?
You’ll be an early commercial hire at one of Europe’s most promising early-stage companies working alongside an experienced team who have done this before & worked with the best investors and teams out there
You’ll be the engine for Omnea’s future growth and will learn first-hand how to build a go-to-market function from scratch and scale to $millions in ARR
Your role will start broad and your time will be split across demand generation / business development, working with our CEO and Commercial Lead on all sales activities & early deployments, and all other activities that drive our revenue growth & help us build our GTM function
You’ll spend about half of your time on demand generation — strategically identifying, prospecting, and qualifying prospective customers to generate interest in our technology & to build pipeline for future growth
You will own our go-to-market messaging for different geographies & sectors, building & managing outbound campaigns (LinkedIn, email, etc.)
You’ll create best-in-class outbound sales processes & messaging, iterating as you go and later teaching new joiners how it’s done
You’ll spend the rest of your time helping to drive our go-to-market function and supporting our CEO and Commercial Lead in all commercial activities — managing sales pipeline, helping to close deals, supporting early customers, and later planning GTM strategy
You’ll work broadly across GTM activities, learning how to close deals and supporting with all related activities, whether that’s creating commercial proposals & other docs, managing early deployments & supporting customers, and building relationships within our broader market
Given the broad scope & impact of this role, you will receive a bonus based on overall company revenue as well as individual pipeline created.
Our expectation is that you put yourself forward for a team lead/managerial-level role after 12-24 months, or you may choose to focus on mastering a commercial specialism (eg. sales, customer success, solutions consulting). Ultra-high achievers will be given the opportunity even sooner
About You
You have a constant focus on growth and will succeed at whatever you put your mind to. You’re intelligent & can work stuff out from first principles. You’re hard-working and willing to roll up your sleeves to do whatever. You’re entrepreneurial and will make an excellent future commercial leader and/or founder.
You have 1-4 years of experience succeeding in a B2B SaaS sales role or something comparable (i.e. you know you can sell!) and at least 2 years of working experience.
You may not have any B2B / SaaS sales experience but you will have excelled at something incredibly challenging that demonstrates your grit & ability to sell. For example, you may be a career changer who did well in a different sector like law / banking / consulting / something else similarly intense & difficult, but now want to go on this journey of learning to sell & building a business.
You like to roll up your sleeves & get stuck in. No job at a startup is glamorous, but you are focussed on output and consider no job as too messy to get stuck into. You derive fulfilment from doing any task exceptionally well
You’re entrepreneurial and want to be part of building a business. You want to rise faster than would be possible in any ‘normal’ career and you’re happy to roll up your sleeves and do whatever’s required. We've even signed up to the Future Founder Promise
