About the Solutions Engineering Team
hx’s Solutions Engineering Team thrives at the intersection of sales and engineering. Solutions Engineers are trusted technical experts who articulate technology and product positioning to executive, business, and technical audiences. They serve as primary technical support for field sales, driving the technology evaluation stage and ensuring success for hyperexponential's prospects and customers. Collaborating with sales counterparts, the team strategically guides customers toward commercial partnerships while addressing complex technical challenges.
Your Mission
You will lead and grow a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers, empowering them to deliver exceptional technical expertise and customer experiences. As a player-coach, you’ll drive strategy and execution across pre-sales engagements, manage the technology evaluation process, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver tailored solutions that accelerate customer adoption of hx Renew.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
Hire, mentor, and lead a team of Solutions Engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
Develop team members’ technical and business acumen to ensure readiness for high-stakes customer engagements.
Strategize with sales leadership to align the team’s efforts with regional and global revenue goals.
Sales Enablement
Design and deliver engaging, interactive product demonstrations tailored to client needs
Lead proof-of-value projects to showcase the platform’s flexibility and value
Collaborate with Account Executives to strategize and align on sales opportunities
Address technical RFPs, RFIs, and due diligence requests with precision and clarity
Serve as a subject matter expert in industry-specific challenges and articulate hx Renew’s ROI and value proposition to stakeholders
Customer Success
Partner with customers to align technical solutions with their strategic objectives
Provide guidance on integrating hx Renew into customer ecosystems during onboarding
Build trusted, long-term relationships as a technical advisor
Technical Innovation
Oversee the creation of reusable demo and sales assets, including code libraries, playbooks, and technical collateral
Develop scalable strategies to expedite sales processes through automation, AI, and innovative tooling
Act as a liaison with Field Engineering and Product teams to inform roadmaps based on market trends and customer feedback
Knowledge Sharing and enablement
Mentor and certify team members on best practices for delivering technical solutions and product demonstrations
Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer use cases to maintain hx Renew’s market leadership
Represent hyperexponential at industry events, conferences, and through thought leadership content such as blogs and presentations
About You
Core Competencies
Credible: Trusted as a technical advisor through expertise and strong interpersonal skills.
Technical: Proficient in software development (Python preferred) and systems integration, with deep knowledge of APIs, security protocols (OAuth, SAML, etc.), and networking concepts.
Client-Centric: Customer-focused, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all stakeholders.
Business-Savvy: Driven by ROI and efficiency, able to standardize repeatable processes and prioritize high-value projects.
Experience and Skills
Proven experience in a senior Solutions Engineering or pre-sales leadership role within a SaaS or enterprise technology environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead and scale high-performing teams, with a focus on hiring, coaching, and mentoring.
Strong software development skills in Python
Sound knowledge of integration patterns, databases, networking, and authentication protocols.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to engage technical and non-technical audiences alike.
Track record of creating impactful technical assets (demos, playbooks, whitepapers).
Bonus Points
Familiarity with insurance technology or actuarial modelling.
Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
Proven success in scaling technical processes or leading a team
