About the role:
The Senior Program Manager, Technology Strategy and Assessment is a critical position on the Global Recruiting Operations & Programs team at Samsara. This role will lead the development, optimization, and scalability of technology-driven assessment programs, focusing on strategy and operational excellence in partnership with the recruiting team and stakeholders across the business. The primary focus of this role is to build and implement advanced strategies for candidate assessment, standardized and efficient hiring practices, and the recruiting technology ecosystem to ensure an efficient, seamless end to end recruiting experience.

In this role, you will:
- Drive Technology-Focused Programs at Scale:
- Lead large-scale, technology-aligned projects that support our global goals, overseeing planning, development, launch, and continuous improvement phases.
- Collaborate with Recruiting Management, Recruiting Operations, Business Operations, and People teams to design, implement, and sustain technology strategies and tools that enable recruiting at Samsara.
- Regularly report on technology program progress, metrics, and project outcomes.
- Lead the Hiring Assessment Program:
- Define and implement scalable assessment solutions that streamline the hiring process and drive quality hires, incorporating technology-based structured interviews, assessments, and tools.
- Partner with Recruiting Program Managers to integrate bias-reduction technologies and inclusive hiring tools.
- Create and manage relevant training programs, certifications, and platforms to empower hiring managers and interviewers with effective, technology-driven assessment capabilities.
- Oversee Candidate Assessment Experience:
- Enable and optimize the candidate journey using technology to create seamless, effective selection and assessment touchpoints.
- Map and monitor candidate assessment interactions, identifying key moments of impact and opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and lead initiatives to drive improvement, innovation, and technology enhancements in the selection and assessment process.

Minimum requirements for the role:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 10+ years of professional experience.
- 5+ years of program and project management experience, with a recent focus on large-scale, technology-aligned programs.
- 3+ years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or consulting using data insights and storytelling to influence change with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to think strategically and drive both short- and long-term technology plans.
- Experience in systems thinking, aligning business needs with resources and technologies.
- Strong skills in data analysis, prioritizing workload, and managing multiple technology-focused projects.
An ideal candidate also has:
- Proficiency with Google Suite and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Proficiency in building and analyzing candidate assessment experiences in partnership with assessment vendors.
