Profile Overview
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at ScraperAPI, you'll be the first point of contact with potential customers. Your goal will be to creatively generate leads and qualify prospects who can benefit from our web scraping solution. This is a crucial role for our growth, and you'll work closely with the sales and marketing teams to drive revenue. You'll need to have a strong understanding of the product, a knack for connecting with prospects, and the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. The role provides an excellent opportunity for a junior salesperson to learn and quickly develop into a SaaS Account Executive.
We’re seeking a creative, strategic thinker with a passion for innovation—someone who isn’t afraid to think outside the box and make this role their own. In this position, you’ll have the freedom to experiment with fresh, inventive ideas to maximise lead generation. This is more than just an SDR role; it's an opportunity to build your skills and develop into an Account Executive within six months, with a clear pathway for growth and hands-on support to help you get there.
Your immediate impact in the first 3-6 months will be:
- Get up to speed quickly, understand the domain and the product solution
- Pick up global inbound leads, qualify them, nurture relationships, convert free users to paid ones
- After a successful onboarding and solid performance in the first 6 months there’s a good chance to get promoted to be an Account Executive
Your responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Use various channels such as outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to identify and connect with potential customers.
- Prospect Qualification: Assess and qualify inbound and outbound leads to determine their fit and readiness for a product demo or sales call.
- CRM Management: Keep accurate, up-to-date records of interactions in our CRM, ensuring the sales pipeline is clean and organised.
- Product Knowledge: Become an expert on ScraperAPI’s offerings and use cases to provide relevant, compelling information to prospects.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Account Executives to transition qualified leads, providing context and insights to aid in closing deals with the intention of moving into a closing role in your first 6 months.
- Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends and competitor offerings to improve outreach strategies and better target prospects.
- Performance Tracking: Meet or exceed weekly and monthly metrics for outreach, conversions, and qualified leads passed to the sales team.
What You bring to the table
- Experience: 1-2 years in a similar role, ideally in SaaS, tech, or B2B sales.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to engage prospects confidently.
- Sales-Oriented Mindset: Strong understanding of the sales process, with a goal-driven attitude and the resilience to handle rejections.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRMs (like HubSpot, Salesforce), outreach tools, and data-driven sales methodologies.
- Team Player: Collaborative and willing to learn from feedback while also offering insights to the team.
- Interest in Data and Technology: Knowledge of web scraping, APIs, or data solutions is a plus, but a willingness to learn is essential.
