About the role
- Perform experiments and evaluations in areas related to natural language processing, large language models (LLMs) specifically working on Dialpad’s foundation model, DialpadGPT.
- Build and improve specialized software tools to prepare and analyze data
- Communicate and collaborate with team members, presenting work for regular review and working closely with a mentor
- Troubleshoot and analyze data to determine issue causes and investigate solutions
This position is based in Vancouver, Canada office, where you will work with a local mentor who will help you learn Dialpad’s technologies and processes, and support you in achieving your internship goals.
About you
- Currently pursuing aMaster’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field of study. Candidates must have already completed an undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 8 months of hands-on experience in NLP, ML or software development.
- Available to work full-time (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
- Highly skilled with Python-based machine learning and data tools.
- A solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Skilled in designing and executing experiments and providing a detailed analysis of results.
Bonus Points
- Research experience in natural language processing, large language models, and other related machine learning areas.
- Experience with handling text data at scale.
