Role
Reporting to the CFO, the Head of Business Systems will be responsible for leading the strategy, development, and implementation of back-office technology solutions that drive business efficiency, scale, and innovation. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in technology management, business process optimization, and team leadership. This role also requires expertise in selecting and procuring new software tools and managing costs of existing software tools. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of aligning back office technology initiatives with business objectives, enhancing operational capabilities, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement with cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute the company’s back office technology strategy in alignment with business goals and objectives. Lead systems architecture design efforts for Sales, HR, Procurement and Financial Reporting cycles, including integrations, for current and future business needs.
Collaborate closely with Accounting, People, Finance, Rev Ops, IT and other support functions to build a world class technology footprint to enable efficiency at scale and to allow for the company to remain nimble as we grow.
Manage the technology budget, including forecasting, resource allocation, and cost optimization. Manage procurement of company’s software spend, including vendor management and contract negotiations.
Lead and manage the Business Technology efforts, including coordination of external consultants to configure and integrate key back end business systems.
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of technology solutions to support business processes and operations. Systems include, but are not limited to, SFDC, Netsuite, Zip, Carta, etc.
Collaborate with Security and IT teams to ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of the company’s technology infrastructure.
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify technology opportunities and drive digital transformation initiatives.
Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and assess their potential impact on the business.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in technology management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in technology management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience implementing, designing, maintaining and enhancing with SFDC, Netsuite, Workday and other complex platforms.
Proven experience in developing and executing technology strategies that drive business growth and efficiency.
Strong understanding of security requirements, IT infrastructure, software development, and business systems.
Willingness to be hands-on initially and grow a team as the Company grows.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into technology solutions.
Demonstrated experience in managing technology budgets, optimizing costs, negotiating contracts and managing software tool vendors.
Knowledge of industry best practices, regulations, and standards in technology management.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
Compensation
In consideration of market analysis and relevant factors, the salary range for this position is set between $250,000 and $300,000. However, adjustments outside of this range may be considered for candidates whose qualifications significantly differ from those outlined in the job description. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in our equity plan and benefits program. Benefits include, but not limited to: Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, retirement benefits (401k match up to 4%), and flexible PTO.
