While running Palantir’s US national security business, our CEO became passionate about privacy and security on mobile devices. Our mission is to be a force for good in global wireless.

The Role:
We are looking for a Research and DevelopmentEngineer who is excited to engage with customers as true design partners. The expectation day to day is no expectation - we travel, test, build, iterate and repeat.
What you will do:
Build software to quickly address the mission needs of our customers, but always with the objective of handing prototypes off to the core engineering team for long-term productization.
Be responsible for early, quick prototypes that start with problem discovery to solution delivery. This spans our Android carrier app, our telecommunications stack, and our backend services.
Building new or integrating with existing telecommunications infrastructure and components should be exciting for you.
Integrating with mobile devices (both Android & iOS) to provide cellular service to those devices will be necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of software engineering experience
1+ years of Android development experience using the Android SDK and/or other frameworks
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Prior engineering experience from the industry, along with academic pursuits & studies in any of the areas of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
Fluency in Golang, Rust, Java/Kotlin, Python, or similar language
Familiarity with algorithms, data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, mobile frameworks, and other technical tools
A passion for personal privacy and national security
A desire to work on software that has real-world impact
Nice to have
Existing security clearance
Familiarity with the Android telephony manager and geo services
Familiarity with mobile telecommunications technologies such as smart cards, SIM/eSIM, and 4G/5G
Experience working with hardware-backed secure storage on Android
Interest in low-level mobile & networking software
Experience with unreliable networks and/or distributed systems
The salary range for this role is $120,000-$160,000 a year + equity + 401K match. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, relevant education, and/or training.
