As a Technical Audience Marketer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we engage and resonate with this critical segment. Your mission will be to deeply understand technical audiences, including developers, architects, and IT leaders, and translate those insights into marketing strategies that drive engagement and adoption across both prospects and existing customers.
This role is ideal for someone with a technical mindset and a passion for creating impactful marketing strategies that speak directly to developers and other technical stakeholders. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Marketing, Developer Relations, and Sales, to align our marketing efforts with the preferences and pain points of technical users.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Conduct in-depth research to identify and define segments within technical audiences, including developers, architects, and technical decision-makers.
- Gather and analyze data on technical behaviors, preferences, pain points, and decision-making processes.
- Stay informed about trends in enterprise architecture and technology including developer tools, APIs, headless CMS, and composable technology to refine targeting.
- Create detailed technical personas that reflect the unique needs and goals of developers, architects, and IT professionals.
- Partner with Product Marketing and Developer Relations teams to ensure personas are aligned with product capabilities and audience expectations.
- Develop and execute campaigns tailored to technical audiences, highlighting technical benefits, use cases, and integrations.
- Leverage platforms such as GitHub, Stack Overflow, Reddit, and developer-focused forums for engagement.
- Work with content teams to create technical resources that engage a technical reader such as architectural best-practices, hands-on workshops, C-level roundtables, and influential think pieces.
- Collaborate on the development of case studies and whitepapers that demonstrate technical use cases and ROI.
- Partner with Developer Relations to align marketing strategies with developer advocacy efforts.
- Work closely with Product Marketing to ensure technical content highlights the product’s capabilities in a technologist-friendly way.
- Support Sales teams by providing insights and resources tailored to technical stakeholders.
- Use analytics tools to track engagement metrics relevant to technical audiences.
- Continuously iterate on strategies based on feedback and performance data.
- Some travel may be required.
What Really Gets Us Excited About You?
- 5+ years of experience in marketing to technical audiences, such as developers, engineers, or IT professionals and executives.
- Strong familiarity with the B2B SaaS industry, particularly in headless CMS, or composable technology.
- Expertise in developer-focused marketing channels, such as GitHub, Stack Overflow, and LinkedIn and across the full customer lifecycle, from acquisition through expansion.
- Proficiency with marketing platforms like Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and Demandbase.
- Ability to create and communicate highly technical messaging in a way that resonates with technical audiences.
- Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to balance multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, especially when working with technical teams.
- Technical aptitude and an understanding of technical audiences’ workflows, tools, and challenges.
- Analytical and data-driven, with a focus on actionable insights.
- Customer-first approach, with a passion for addressing the specific needs of technical users.
Base salary for this role ranges between $115,000 and $130,000 based on skills and experience.
