The Team:
The Celonis Legal team is an energetic and proactive group of experts in their field, focused on identifying, avoiding, mitigating and solving challenges within the Celonis business. We sit at the heart of the Celonis organization and are proud to be seen as valued business partners across all aspects of the business. Lead by the Chief Legal Officer AGCs head our Commercial, Ecosystem, Corporate, Employment and Ethics & Compliance practices, supported by our Legal Operations team. The Contracts Analyst, EMEA will sit within the Commercial practice, reporting to our Legal Director, EMEA Commercial reporting to our AGC.
The Role:
The Contracts Analyst, EMEA position is a valuable role in the company’s growing Legal group and is primarily responsible for supporting Celonis’ GTM organization in EMEA, as well as providing additional Legal support as requested. The main focus of the role is to perform specialized duties related to the preparation, review, negotiation and processing of contracts, provide end-to-end contract lifecycle support and to serve as a liaison between Celonis’ internal stakeholders, including Sales, Operations and Legal & Compliance departments. A successful candidate will be expected to provide pragmatic, creative, collaborative and solution-oriented go to market legal support throughout the company. As a self-starting, experienced communicator and problem-solver, the Contracts Analyst, EMEA must be able to prioritize effectively and drive issues to resolution within a team environment focused on growth, execution and process improvement.
The work you’ll do:
Draft, review, analyze and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts and documents, including Non-Disclosure Agreements, RfP / RfI related legal documents, cloud and on-premise subscriptions, license and professional services agreements / Statements of Work.
Manage/organize archiving of executed agreements and other Legal department documentation and records (both electronic and hard copy) and ensure accurate data is entered and maintained in our contracts management system.
Seamlessly and proactively collaborate cross-functionally with the company’s global Sales, Operations and Finance groups to understand and ensure consistency of Legal processes with the company’s internal contract workflow.
Assist with any contract localization and/or translation efforts.
Contribute to ongoing process improvement, reduction of friction and problem solving within areas of Legal and Compliance.
Handle confidential and highly-sensitive information with professionalism and unquestionable integrity.
Conduct various additional other Legal and ad hoc projects as required.
The qualifications you need:
Minimum 2-4 years review, negotiation or analysis of commercial contracts, with desired emphasis on SaaS related matters.
University degree or equivalent required, law or finance degree preferred.
Passion for working with and negotiating contracts.
Demonstrated ability with Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Office Suite, Adobe DocuSign and the ability to quickly learn and gain proficiency in new technologies.
Developed business acumen, with ability to understand the company’s mission and anticipate the nature and magnitude of issues that could arise in various settings.
Business fluency in English required; a second European language would be a significant plus, Italian preferred.
Impeccable attention to detail, well-organized and adept in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
High energy, strong project management skills and a positive attitude are critical.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Confidence in working and troubleshooting independently.
High level of emotional intelligence, cultural awareness/sensitivity, team orientation and uncompromising ethical standards.
Ability to effectively prioritize, escalate appropriately and multi-task.
Experience with contracts management software and electronic signature system.
Ability to effectively interact with all levels and departments is imperative.
