What’s the role?
The BDR role at HubSpot offers the opportunity to learn best practices around consultative SaaS selling, using proven sales frameworks and creative & targeted prospecting. In this role, you will be equipped with the tools, training and have the opportunity to work with high performing peers as well as partnering with Mid-Market or Corporate Account Executive to drive sales pipelines. You'll be a valued member of the team, contributing towards the growth of HubSpot's market share in the ANZ market by providing a top tier CRM solution to businesses. We’re looking for hard-working, competitive and self-motivated individuals who have already excelled in similar sales roles and who want to build upon their experience in the tech space. We have a structured pathway for our BDRs to progress into the Account Executive team.
What are your responsibilities as a Business Development Representative?
- Conduct high-volume prospecting (telemarketing) to generate qualified leads (between 40 and 60 calls per day)
- Work closely and collaboratively with an assigned Account Executive/Sales Representative to develop and implement appropriate prospect strategies and plans
- Work internally with the sales management and marketing teams to ensure proper quality and quantity of discovery calls
- Schedule discovery calls for an assigned Account Executive/Sales Representative
- Conduct needs assessments calls with specific prospects as assigned
Who are you?
- Previous experience in a high volume and outbound sales role
- Track record of high achievement and the desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals
- The ability to deal with and thrive on objections and rejection on a daily basis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment with peers who challenge you to be better
- The technical aptitude to master our sales tools and naturally curious
- You will also have a proven ability to drive results, be resilient during challenging sales situations, have a customer-first mentality and a strong growth mindset.
