We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our amazing Controllership team and help us to continue improving our processes, ensuring accurate, GAAP compliant data in TravelPerk’s ERP. This role’s mission will be:
- Collaborate with the different teams across the company to ensure operating expenses across all our global entities (TravelPerk SL, TravelPerk Ltd, TravelPerk GmbH, TravelPerk US Inc) are booked, accounted for and reconciled in a timely manner, in accordance with local accounting standards and follow the right PTP workflow.
- Collaborate with Product team to ensure GMV & COGS balances are posted without discrepancies in TravelPerk’s ERP
- Collaborate with the Controllership team on all things finance to ensure TravelPerk continues to pass all global audits with an unqualified opinion.

What you will do:
- Perform different type of tasks for Month-end and year end closing
- Calculate and post manual journals at month end with appropriate and complete supporting documentation
- Accounting bank statements and reconciliations in full
- Manage Fixed Assets and own the ledger
- Perform monthly Balance Sheet Account reconciliations and the subsequent analysis of any discrepancies
- Own the procure to pay process from start to finish, which includes managing our procurement tool
- Preparing payments and overseeing the end to end process, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Perform final Revenue & CoS accruals based on supplier invoices/statements value and checkout/service dates
- Process the weekly collection and payment settlements against their respective invoices in TravelPerk’s ERP
- Review/analyse/settle historical accounts for both the AR and AP ledgers.
- Manage the self-bill platform for all direct revenue we channels such as global partners and services
- Assist with other additional ad hoc reporting requirements and key projects
- Providing support in your subject matter areas during the external audit
- Uploading sales & purchases from the customer database into TravelPerk’s ERP, including daily reporting to the Spanish tax authorities (SII) in full, closing out any reconciling items.
What you need:
- 2-3 year experience in finance roles
- Bachelor in Business Administration, Economics is a must
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in English
- Organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines
- Analytical thinker and detailed oriented
- Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
