Join our team at Altium and kick-start your career! This is an early-career, hybrid position, with one in-office day per week on Wednesdays in Sydney (Chatswood, NSW 2067).
A Day in The Life of Our Business Development Representative (BDR):
- The primary role of the Business Development Rep is to react to our customers' needs promptly and to give them a great experience when reaching out to Altium in any form
- You will create opportunities by making outbound calls to prospects from inbound sources; prospects are new or current customers who have shown interest by downloading materials, completing online forms, engaging in Drift, or attending a webinar.
- You’ll take action on all leads in Australia and operate the Drift platform for sales chats
- Maintain a strict, disciplined process for every engagement of what you are asked and how you will follow up
- Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer contact to meet or exceed required daily sales activities
- Maintain a 3x transparent pipeline in Salesforce
- Excellent at analyzing sales data and applying it to drive the sales process
- Willing to follow Altium sales methodologies and processes using our designed systems
- Can powerfully present the Value Proposition for Altium 365, our cloud-based platform, live or online, to engineering users, teams, and management
- Exceeds given targets and can drive the potential of the market
- Maintain all Salesforce process requirements
- Can master the Altium product line and technologies to be able to talk about them fluently to technical audiences
- Maintains awareness of our competitor’s products and industry landscape

- A desire to develop your sales experience, inside, telesales, and business development in software or related technology

- You persist past gatekeepers, gather meaningful decision-maker intelligence, obsess over customer needs, and go the extra mile for insight and understanding
- A clear and effective communicator across all platforms
