DIRECTOR, PEOPLE OPERATIONS - EMEA

SUMMARY
The Director, People Operations EMEA, is responsible for leading and coordinating the EMEA-specific people strategy that aligns with OneStream’s organisational goals and objectives. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of the diverse EMEA labour markets, employment laws, and cultural nuances, ensuring that OneStream attracts, develops and retains top talent.
The role serves as the business partner to the EMEA Executive Vice President (EVP), ensuring corporate strategic goals can be executed by our teams at a local regional and country level in the EMEA region. Additionally, the Director, People Operations EMEA will be responsible for working across Global People Operations, and EMEA senior leadership, to develop a line of sight and strategic people plan across EMEA, inclusive of talent acquisition, talent engagement, total rewards, performance and retention.
The role has dotted line reporting into the EMEA EVP and is expected to demonstrate a high degree of partnership and collaboration with People Operations Leadership, as well as the Sr. Director, International Finance, on the broader EMEA growth opportunity, to contribute significantly in building a resilient and agile workforce that meets dynamic needs of a complex, multi-country region.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- In partnership with People Operations leadership, develop and execute HR strategies that support the business objectives and enhance organizational performance across EMEA, including but not limited to strategic workforce planning, calibration and succession planning, organizational design, change management, culture, and leadership and team development.
- Collaborate with EMEA EVP, global senior leadership, and various global people operations teams, to align initiatives with organizational goals, while remaining locally sensitive.
- Use Data analytics to gain insights into workforce trends, performance metrics, and employee satisfaction across the region.
- Conduct talent planning and review sessions in partnership with the People Operations leadership team and EMEA leadership, ensuring visibility into future talent needs, internal mobility, and performance.
- Partner with the EMEA EVP and the Finance team to bring visibility and alignment re: areas of high and low ROI as it relates to growth within EMEA.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to align and advance an acquisition strategy that integrates global objectives with regional insights, proactively guiding leaders on critical factors such as location, language, and industry focus to meet business needs effectively across EMEA.
- Strengthen OneStream’s presence as an employer of choice within EMEA, tailoring the EVP to resonate with various markets.
- Partner with the Total Rewards team to refine a comprehensive compensation and benefits strategy that supports both global strategy and localised needs.
- Partner with the Talent Development team to implement development initiatives to build strong talent pipeline for key roles in region
- Serves as a coach and consultant to EMEA EVP, and other key leaders across EMEA.
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations across EMEA countries, inclusive of Works Council coordination, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that mitigate risk and promote fair labor practices.
- Work in partnership with our Global Legal team to ensure a centralized view and process on terminations in a fair and equitable manner, and in accordance with local law and regulations; management of the Employee Relations function.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing EMEA HR functions.
- 3+ years experience working in a high growth SaaS environment.
- This role is a hybrid position and will be required to be in the office a couple days of week.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years in a leadership role overseeing EMEA HR functions for a US company.
- Experience of working across Americas and APAC would be desirable.
- Preferred candidate location is Manchester or London.

- Strong knowledge of EMEA labour laws, regulations and cultural practices.
- Demonstrable experience to think critically about long-term goals, anticipate potential challenges, and create innovative, forward-looking solutions.
- Ability to analyze complex situations, understanding industry trends, and the ability to consider both internal and external factors when making decisions.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for growth and efficiency, aligning individual and team actions with overarching business objectives. Effectively balancing immediate needs with future priorities to drive sustainable success.
- Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee engagement and performance management.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills and able to adapt communication and behavior to effectively engage with individuals from different cultural contexts and fosters an inclusive environment.
- Demonstrates respect, understanding, and inclusiveness toward diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and various cultures.
- Proactively seeks to understand cultural nuances and integrates this awareness into day-to-day practices, enhancing collaboration and trust within a global workforce.
- Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and influence at all levels.
- Proficiency in HR information systems and data analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently with internal and external counsel.
- Proven experience of supporting the expansion into new countries and markets.
