About the Role:
As a Senior Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving our sales efforts in the Japan market. You will identify and qualify potential leads, initiate conversations, create opportunities, and pave the way for successful sales conversions. Your focus will be on nurturing relationships, connecting with prospects, and exceeding ambitious quarterly targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transform Marketing Qualified Leads into Sales Opportunities by cultivating and educating prospective buyers.
- Develop and execute account-based strategies to penetrate target accounts in collaboration with Account Executives.
- Utilize outbound techniques to identify key decision-makers and uncover needs within prospect accounts.
- Nurture leads through the sales cycle by providing relevant information, discussing product value, and overcoming objections.
- Schedule product demonstrations and introductory meetings with potential buyers.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition of Genesys solutions for communications, collaboration, and customer engagement.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts.
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce.com, reflecting current lead status and activities.
- Respond to inbound leads from various sources (web, events, email campaigns) and proactively ask for referrals.
- Create opportunities in the CRM system and assign them to the appropriate sales team based on BANT criteria.
- Utilize lead nurturing processes for ICP accounts not yet ready to buy.
- Leverage internal and external resources (LinkedIn, databases) to identify key contacts within target accounts.
- Collaborate effectively with the sales team to ensure seamless lead handoff and follow-up.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of sales processes and best practices.
- Stay informed about the competitive landscape and industry trends.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in outbound prospecting/inside sales, preferably within the IT/Cloud solutions industry.
- Proven track record of exceeding quota for qualified leads and sales opportunities.
- Experience working with Salesforce.com or other CRM platforms.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and telephone skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute account-based strategies.
- Strong technical acumen and a passion for technology.
- Ability to swiftly learn product solutions and general industry knowledge.
- Resourceful and adaptable to a changing environment.
- Languages: Native Japanese, and Conversational level or higher English (able to read, write and listen)
