The Senior Account Based Marketing Manager (ABE/ABM) is a critical role that drives targeted marketing and engagement efforts to build deeper connections with high-value accounts in Japan. This role combines the strategic elements of Account-Based Marketing with the relational aspects of Account-Based Engagement, delivering tailored campaigns, workshops, and events to foster long-term account relationships and measurable pipeline growth.
The ideal candidate will blend strategic planning, creative execution, and collaboration skills to align marketing and sales initiatives seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, the primary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Account-Based Engagement & Marketing (ABE/ABM):
- Develop and execute the ABE/ABM strategy for the Japan market, ensuring alignment with regional and global marketing and sales objectives.
- Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to create engagement plans that address the unique needs of priority accounts.
- Design and deliver personalized multi-channel campaigns, including targeted content, digital advertising, and webinars, to engage high-value accounts.
- Plan and execute tailored workshops, executive briefings, and roundtable events to deepen relationships with key stakeholders within accounts.
- Partner with content and creative teams to produce customized marketing materials aligned to account priorities and challenges.
- Leverage marketing technologies (e.g., 6Sense, Salesforce) to track account engagement, measure campaign effectiveness, and provide actionable insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Optimization:
- Work closely with sales, customer success, and regional teams to ensure alignment on account strategies and engagement efforts.
- Present campaign and engagement insights to stakeholders, optimizing plans based on performance data and feedback.
- Stay updated on market trends, customer behavior, and competitor strategies to refine engagement and marketing approaches.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in developing and executing ABE/ABM strategies with measurable outcomes, with 5+ years in B2B marketing, preferably in technology or SaaS.
- Expertise in planning and delivering workshops, executive briefings, and roundtable events tailored for high-value accounts.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to effectively partner with sales, customer success, and global teams.
- Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capabilities.
- Proficiency in marketing and sales platforms, including:
- ABM/ABE tools (e.g., 6Sense or similar)
- CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- Analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Google Analytics)
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies, advertising platforms (LinkedIn, Google Ads), and content personalization tools.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret engagement data and optimize strategies for maximum impact.
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in a matrixed global organization, demonstrating successful collaboration across diverse teams.
- Previous hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms and content management systems (e.g., Eloqua, WordPress).
- Knowledge of account prioritization, relationship-building, and long-term engagement methodologies.
