About the role:
We are looking for an experienced VP of Security & IT to oversee our Security and internal IT teams at Dashlane. In your role, you will ensure we maintain the highest level of security for our product, our customers and our company, as well as manage internal IT systems for the company.
Security is a cornerstone of the Dashlane product, and as such you will play an instrumental role in keeping our customers safe and our company secure. You will work alongside a broad mix of stakeholders including product managers, engineers, sales, marketing, legal to ensure we keep raising the bar on security while serving our business needs. As part of your scope, you will supervise our internal IT systems and activities such as help desk, support, development and maintenance of all hardware and software technology in use by employees internally at Dashlane.
As the Security and IT leader, you will be a key member of the engineering team, directly reporting to Dashlane CTO. You will manage our Security and IT teams globally across our different offices. You will be in charge of ensuring we keep the Dashlane product and internal systems secure and efficient, by defining and implementing the Security Strategy and Policies, providing recommendations and guidance to the Company regarding Information Security, User Confidentiality and Privacy, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Compliance and associated risks.
Location:
You will be based in Paris, with English as your working language. We offer a hybrid work arrangement, with Tuesday being the company day, where we all collaborate in the office and have a company-sponsored meal, a department day for team bonding (it will be Thursday for your department), and a third day of your choice. We offer relocation support (national and international from within the EU).
At Dashlane you will:
- Drive the Security strategy as a core feature of the Dashlane Product and provide leadership and directions for implementing and validating the Secure Development Cycle. This Strategic Plan will have to be aligned with business objectives.
- Manage the Security of our customer-facing infrastructure (AWS) as well as the internal IT infrastructure
- Conduct security audits on our product and internal and external IT and ensure mitigations and remediations (including penetration testing, bug bounties, monitoring, and system auditing…)
- Manage Compliance and Regulatory requirements
- Evaluate and report the Company’s information security and privacy risk status to the Executive team
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert and promote a culture of information security and privacy awareness.
- Supervise IT operations across our offices in Paris, Lisbon, and New York and processes related to physical and general security
- Hire, manage, and develop the Security and IT staff
- Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery
- Manage and forecast Security and IT budget. Manage key vendor relationships
- Represent Dashlane as the Security and IT leader with customers, partners, and other stakeholders in the market
- Fulfill other information security and privacy duties as necessary to support the Company.
Requirements:
- Education in technology, with a strong emphasis on Security
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Technical Skills: extensive experience in cybersecurity, IT, and infrastructure management. Proficiency in cybersecurity tools, technologies, and frameworks, including compliance (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- English proficiency to communicate complex technical issues.

- Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and understanding of the company's industry, market, and competitive landscape.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current with the latest trends, developments, and best practices in IT and cybersecurity.

- Appetite to innovate and find out-of-the-box solutions to complex security challenges
