Genesys is seeking a Global Corporate Security Director to design, develop, and lead a corporate security program that protects our people, assets, and operations across all global regions. This role involves creating and implementing strategic security policies, protocols, and risk mitigation measures that align with corporate goals while ensuring compliance with U.S. and international regulatory standards.
As a senior leader, this individual will work closely with the Chief Legal Officer and executive leadership to foster a culture of security awareness, preparedness, and resilience throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep expertise in navigating complex security challenges, building strong partnerships, and driving innovations solutions to safeguard Genesys’ employees and operations worldwide.
This role is remote and based in the United States, reporting to the Chief Legal Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Security Leadership
- Lead the design and continuous improvement of a comprehensive global security program, encompassing physical, personnel, and operational security.
- Develop and present business cases to executive leadership, articulating risks and recommending strategic security investments and priorities.
Operational Security Oversight
- Oversee all aspects of enterprise security risk management, including coordination of personnel protection, physical site security, visitor management, event management, travel management and threat assessment.
- Establish an enterprise security risk management framework, coordinating with internal security, risk, and crisis management teams to implement threat detection and risk control.
- Drive travel security programs by setting guidelines to protect employees in high-risk areas and advancing the overall travel security framework.
- Build, maintain and leverage relationships with external public safety agencies, including law enforcement and first responders, and regulators to ensure seamless emergency response coordination.
- Coordinate with internal security and crisis response teams and other Genesys stakeholders to maintain robust emergency communication and response systems.
Compliance and Standards
- Ensure corporate security policies, procedures, and programs adhere to industry standards, legal requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Develop training programs to cultivate a security-conscious culture across the organization.
Team Leadership and Financial Management
- Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing global security team capable of addressing emerging security challenges.
- Participate in the budget process, driving cost efficiencies and proposing alternative strategies to achieve similar outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate security or related fields, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing global security programs.
- BS degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of international security standards (e.g.,ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Project management experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience in corporate security, military, or law enforcement.
- Possess industry certification such as ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
- Familiarity with security systems and technologies.
Compensation:
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
$152,900.00 - $283,900.00
