Senior Director, Marketing - Asia Pacific
The Senior Director, Marketing for APAC will play a pivotal role in driving regional revenue pipeline and business growth across Asia-Pacific.
This role opens up opportunities for candidates based Sydney or Singapore.
This position combines expertise in integrated marketing, demand generation, and team leadership with oversight of both the marketing team and Business Development Representatives (BDRs). Additionally, you will establish and manage a centralized Demand Hub in Singapore/Kuala Lumpur, streamlining operations to fuel pipeline creation and accelerate revenue.
You will collaborate closely with corporate marketing, sales leadership, BDR teams, and partners to design and execute a unified go-to-market strategy, tailored to APAC’s diverse markets, driving measurable pipeline growth and exceeding revenue targets.
What You will Do:
The primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to);
Integrated Marketing Leadership
Lead an APAC-wide marketing team of 20+ across field, campaign, and partner marketing functions to build and execute high-impact pipeline marketing plans.
Define, execute, and measure integrated marketing strategies across the full funnel, leveraging data-driven insights to support quarterly and annual revenue objectives.
Tailor marketing strategies to the region’s diverse markets, optimizing the buyer's journey from lead generation to revenue realization across multiple languages, cultures, and personas.
2. Demand Hub Leadership and Team Management
Establish and oversee a centralized Demand Hub in Singapore/Kuala Lumpur to streamline demand generation, lead nurturing, and campaign execution across APAC.
Manage and coach a high-performing team of 40+ BDRs, ensuring alignment with marketing and sales objectives while fostering their professional growth and development.
Build and nurture a high-performing, inclusive team culture that thrives on innovation, collaboration, and adaptability to the dynamic APAC landscape.
3. Demand Generation and ABE Expertise
Develop and execute tailored account-based engagement (ABE) strategies alongside scalable demand generation initiatives, optimizing resource allocation across markets with vastly different maturity levels, industries, and segments.
Leverage digital campaigns, including paid search, social media, and programmatic advertising, to drive pipeline creation and accelerate revenue growth.
Plan and execute industry events and hybrid experiences (virtual and in-person), ensuring effectiveness as pipeline-generating activities and brand-building opportunities.
4. Collaboration and Sales Alignment
Partner with APAC sales leadership, channel managers, and corporate marketing teams to align sales and marketing activities into a cohesive go-to-market motion.
Maintain pipeline accountability by partnering with sales teams to track, analyze, and optimize performance against shared objectives, ensuring marketing contributes significantly to revenue growth.
Engage and motivate external partners and distributors to maximize their contributions to the go-to-market strategy in the APAC region.
5. Performance Monitoring and Optimization
Consistently monitor KPIs, including pipeline velocity, conversion rates, and marketing-attributed revenue, recalibrating strategies to achieve short- and long-term business goals.
Use advanced quantitative skills for budgeting, forecasting, and modeling to track and improve campaign performance.
Leverage data-driven insights to inform decisions and adapt strategies in real time to optimize outcomes in APAC’s fast-changing markets.
6. Strategic Planning and Experimentation
Lead fiscal year planning, identifying opportunities to optimize budget allocation across diverse APAC markets and initiatives, ensuring maximum return on investment and alignment with growth objectives.
Foster a “What if we tried…” mindset to drive innovation and experimentation across marketing channels, keeping the company at the forefront of industry trends in APAC.
You have been there and done this…
15+ years of experience in Cloud/SaaS enterprise application marketing (B2B), with proven success marketing to business and IT decision-makers in APAC.
Extensive experience in demand generation, pipeline creation, and campaign execution across highly diverse and fragmented markets.
Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, Pardot) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
Strong quantitative skills for budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Demonstrated experience in building and leading large, geographically dispersed teams, including professional development and coaching.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration with customers, partners, sales teams, and external vendors.
Deep experience in account-based engagement (ABE) and managing digital marketing agencies.
Strong track record of managing large-scale events and hybrid experiences.
Strong sense of pipeline accountability and alignment with sales teams.
In-depth knowledge of the APAC region’s cultural, economic, and regulatory landscape, including localization, multi-language campaigns, and compliance (e.g., data protection laws).
Preferred experience in Contact Center, Helpdesk, or Telecom solutions.
Familiarity with C-Suite engagement and influencing without hierarchical authority.
