About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Compensation to lead the development and execution of our global compensation programs from one of our hub offices in either Toronto, Atlanta or San Francisco. As a key leader in the People function, you will design and implement competitive and scalable rewards strategies that align with our company's growth objectives and support our diverse, global workforce.

Key Responsibilities Include;
Total Rewards Strategy:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive Total Rewards strategies, including compensation, and recognition programs, that align with the company’s growth, culture, and talent needs.
- Lead the design and execution of global compensation programs, including base salary, incentives, and equity plans. Ensure all programs are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with market trends.
- Oversee the evaluation of our programs, ensuring they are competitive and meet the needs of a diverse workforce.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and develop the compensation team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team and People leadership on compensation matters, providing insights and recommendations to drive strategic decision-making.
Market Intelligence & Benchmarking:
- Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis of compensation programs to ensure competitiveness and alignment with industry trends.
- Oversee the annual compensation cycles, including salary planning, incentive awards, and equity grants.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Utilize data analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of Total Rewards programs, making data-driven recommendations for enhancements and adjustments.
- Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on Compensation performance, trends, and recommendations.
Must Have Qualifications:
- At least 8+ years in a leadership role managing a global compensation team.
- Proven expertise in designing and managing global compensation programs in fast-paced, global organizations.
- Strong knowledge of global compliance requirements related to compensation and disclosures.
Skills Needed:
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into competitive compensation strategies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to drive decisions.
- Effective communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present complex information to executives and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with HR systems (e.g., Workday) and tools used for compensation.
The base salary range for this position is 151,000 - 211,000 CAD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.
Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
