Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Tax Manager with a strong background in global taxation and a particular focus on U.S. taxation. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in managing and overseeing complex tax matters for multinational organizations. This role will involve ensuring compliance with tax regulations, optimizing tax strategies, and providing expert guidance on tax planning and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance:
- Oversee and manage preparing and filing U.S. federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations (Direct and Indirect, including Sales and Use Tax) in the U.S. and other jurisdictions.
- Manage compliance with Indian tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and income tax filings.
Tax Planning:
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
- Guide on the tax implications of business decisions, including mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings.
Global Tax Management:
- Manage global tax compliance and reporting, ensuring alignment with international tax regulations.
- Collaborate with Tax consultants to address cross-border tax issues and ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations.
Tax Audits & Controversy:
- Represent the company in tax audits and disputes with tax authorities.
- Prepare responses to tax authority inquiries and ensure timely resolution of tax issues.
Tax Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements by U.S. GAAP.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of tax-related financial information.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate tax risks by developing and implementing robust tax policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.
Qualifications:
- CA/CPA or equivalent certification
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in global taxation, with a strong focus on U.S. taxation.
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with international tax issues, including transfer pricing, foreign tax credits, and tax treaties.
- Proficiency in tax software and financial reporting systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven leadership experience and the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
