The GTM Finance team at Abnormal Security plays a critical role in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring the company’s long-term success.
About the Role
As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for building, managing, and maintaining key financial models and frameworks that drive the company’s strategic decisions. You will partner closely with senior leadership and various teams, such as Sales, Customer Success, Operations, and other business teams to provide financial insights that support our go-to-market strategies, operational efficiency, and overall growth strategies. This role will also involve enhancing our forecasting and budget management processes, creating executive-level reports, and driving key performance metrics.
What you will do
- Financial Modeling & Analysis: Build and maintain complex financial models that support strategic decision-making for Sales, Customer Success, Operations, and other business teams. Own headcount and operational expense management including planning, forecasting and reporting. Support forecasting process for bookings, churn and commissions, working in coordination with various teams throughout the company.
- Business Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to drive operational efficiencies and inform key business decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with all of Finance, Accounting, and other business teams to guide and influence strategic choices and operational strategies.
- Reporting & Metrics: Develop high-quality financial reports and dashboards for executives, summarizing key business drivers into essential metrics that highlight the company’s financial performance.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes and models, ensuring scalability and efficiency in strategic planning.
Must Haves
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in FP&A, operations, or similar role. Prior experience in SaaS, cybersecurity, or high-growth tech companies is a plus.Skills: Financial modeling and analytical skills, with a strong ability to turn data into actionable insights. Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets is required. Demonstrated experience with forecasting and budget management using Pigment also a plus.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

Nice to Have
- SaaS Metrics: Solid understanding of SaaS business models and metrics, with experience in a fast-growth environment.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the cybersecurity industry and familiarity with the challenges and opportunities in this space.
